John T. Taaffe Sr. John T. Taaffe, Sr., 80, of Spring Hill, FL, passed peacefully on Sunday, August 1, 2021.
John was born on September 24, 1940 in lower Manhattan, moving to Great Kills, Staten Island, in 1958.
He also lived in Manhattan and Queensbury, New York before relocating to Spring Hill, FL
with his devoted wife, Cheryl (Marra) Taaffe.
John was predeceased by his parents, John and Kathryn Taaffe, and his son John T. Taaffe, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl, his daughters Laura Taaffe and Kathy Smith,
and his grandchildren, Sean Riley, Taylor and Emma Smith, as well as
his siblings Bob (Lia)Taaffe, Dennis (Barbara) Taaffe,
Lorraine (Taaffe) Downing and Maureen (Taaffe) Schiaffino.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
John was a very special son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend
and will always remain a wonderful memory in everyone's heart.
A private cremation will be handled in Spring Hill, FL.
A memorial service will be arranged in Staten Island at a later date.
